Methodology
How we produce this, and how to tell when it is stale.
Regulatory material is only worth publishing if a reader can tell where it came from and when it was last true. This page states both, along with what we do when we get something wrong.
Sourcing
Primary instruments first.
Entries are compiled from primary sources — regulator rulebooks, statutory instruments, official journals and the legislative gazettes — rather than from press coverage or secondary commentary. Where a regulator publishes a machine-readable feed we monitor it; where one does not, a person checks it on the cadence set by the jurisdiction’s tier.
We do not circumvent access controls. Several bodies place their material behind automated-access protection, and those sources are tracked by a person rather than a script. A firm whose proposition is regulatory competence should not be defeating access controls to gather regulatory content.
Coverage
Three tiers, published on every page.
Tier 1 — monitored weekly
Ireland and the EU, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Japan. Sources are checked weekly. These are the jurisdictions where we are physically present.
Tier 2 — tracked monthly
Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Cayman and BVI. Checked on a monthly cycle.
Tier 3 — reference, reviewed quarterly
Everything else. Maintained for comparison and structuring work and labelled as reference so nobody mistakes an overview for a monitored position.
No firm of our size is genuinely current across thirty jurisdictions. Publishing the tier is how we avoid implying otherwise — and a page that has gone past its review window fails our build rather than quietly going stale.
Verification
Draft until checked.
A page carries a visible draft notice until every dated claim on it has been checked against the instrument itself. Compiled research is a starting point, not a publication standard: where a figure is contested across sources, or a rule is in transition, the page says so rather than picking a number and hoping. Material here is educational and is not advice.
Corrections
We publish our mistakes.
When something here is wrong we correct it and log it, with the date and what changed. Silently editing a dated page is how regulatory publications lose the trust they are built on.
