Service 03
Regulatory & licensing
Which regime binds you, which member state to authorise in, and then the application itself.
Why this is hard
In the EU, an authorisation in any one member state passports to all 27 — so the choice of home regulator is a commercial decision about processing time, regulator capacity and substance requirements, not an administrative one. Get it wrong and you wait. Elsewhere the questions are different again: the UK gateway is a five-month window with a binary outcome, the UAE has four regulators, and Japan is moving crypto from one statutory regime to another.
What we do
Inside this service.
Home-state selection
A reasoned comparison of EU member states against your model, timeline and substance appetite — before you commit.
Authorisation applications
Prepared and filed: MiCA, FCA, VARA, ADGM, CMA, JFSA, MAS, SFC.
AML and CFT programmes
Risk assessment, policies, transaction monitoring design and sanctions screening — built to be examined, not filed and forgotten.
Travel Rule
Implementation and vendor selection across the jurisdictions you actually touch.
Operational resilience
DORA and equivalent frameworks, including the third-party register nobody enjoys building.
Redomiciliation
Moving a regulated business, or exiting a regime that no longer works.
Where it differs
The same service is a different job in each regime.
| Jurisdiction | What changes |
|---|---|
| Ireland & the EU | CASP authorisation and passporting. Transitional periods were national: Ireland's ended 30 December 2025, against an EU-wide outer boundary of 1 July 2026. |
| United Kingdom | Gateway open 30 Sep 2026 to 28 Feb 2027, and it binds overseas firms serving UK customers. |
| United Arab Emirates | VARA, ADGM, DIFC and the federal CMA — four regulators, activity-by-activity. |
| Japan | PSA to FIEA reclassification, plus JVCEA self-regulatory requirements. |

We will tell you what applies to you, what is already late, and what it takes to fix. In Dubai, Dublin, London or Tokyo, in person if you prefer.
