Key ceremony
A documented, witnessed procedure for generating and backing up cryptographic keys, forming the evidence that key control is properly governed.
A key ceremony records who was present, what hardware was used, how entropy was generated, how shares were distributed and where backups went. It is the closest digital-asset equivalent to a bank's account-opening file.
Where it does not exist, it usually cannot be recreated convincingly after the fact — which is why the absence of ceremony documentation is one of the more expensive findings in a first audit.
